Purchased these for an older friend but they turned out to be region 2 DVDs. I saw the listing said to check region code but I could not find what region. From reviews it seemed it was the appropriate region for us, region 1 (Canada, the United States and U.S. territories). Turns out it is not. It is a REGION 2 DVD (Japan, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East (including Egypt) and Greenland). I'm sure these would have been great DVDs but we cannot play them.
